An exciting new space being created in Lumsden Those of you who enjoy walking through town may have noticed planty things happening down on Lydia
As well as starting a community nursery, The Northern Southland Reforestation Trust has a vision of planting out the banks of the creeks around Lumsden.
When the idea of having a Community Nursery popped into the heads of some real Northern Southland Greenies, little did they know how much interest
The day was cold, the fingers were numb, but the spirits were high as we tackled the tasks set for our nursery session on 19th
We’re really excited to welcome our new Operations Manager, Jeanna Rodgers, to the team.
We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to help with the day to day management and organisation of the Trust, including our native revegetation projects and events at our Community Nursery.
After what feels like a long and chilly winter, we had our first planting day of the Spring down at Lumsden Creek.
We received confirmation today that we have both gollum galaxias and southern flathead galaxias living in the Lumsden Creek. Both species are threatened and found only in Southland.
After much preparation, planning and paperwork we had our first official planting day at Lumsden Creek.
